Sales order automation uses software to read incoming customer orders, check them and enter them into the ERP without manual keying. Mentana automates this end to end, reading orders from PDFs, emails and scanned images, and validating pricing, stock and credit before any order is created.
OCR turns a document into text, and EDI only works with customers who send structured electronic orders. Mentana reads orders in whatever format customers send, understands each line in context, validates it against your ERP and business rules, and escalates exceptions to the right person.
Mentana treats price, stock and confidence checks as hard gates. If an order has a price mismatch, a stock shortfall, a low-confidence read or a credit limit issue, Mentana escalates it to the right person with the reason, rather than entering it into your ERP at risk.
Mentana flags unusual quantities and first-time part numbers before entry, and warns finance before a credit limit is breached. When a lead time shifts, Mentana pushes an updated backorder ETA to the customer, so problems are handled before the customer has to chase.
Only clean ones. Orders that pass every price, stock, credit and confidence check can be entered automatically, under rules your team controls. Anything that fails a check is held for a person to review and approve, and every order Mentana creates is recorded for audit.
Mentana works on top of your existing ERP, including SAP S/4HANA, Oracle NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics 365, as well as POS, WMS and data warehouses. Your ERP remains the system of record. Mentana adds the planning and execution layer without replacing it.
Mentana goes live within 30 days. It works on top of your existing ERP and order inboxes, so there is no rip and replace. Most teams start with a free two-week Solution Workshop using read-only data access, followed by an 8–12 week initial deployment.
